Melbourne Cup Giddy-yup

That's what appeared a couple of days ago across the AP banner.
So, any inside tips? Any predictions? Anyone going?
Some may say it's a waste of time and money, others a bit of fun. Fair enough either way.
My better half reckons it's just another excuse for people to get drunk. I reckon they don't need a reason and at least there's some fun along the way. I'll watch the race at home alone, and start drinking later.:)
Anyway, have already place a little each way on MALUCKYDAY, fixed odds 25 to 1. It's now about half those odds.:)
Jeez I hope an aussie horse wins.

tip: Grab your camera and take fotos of the fillies at the track!! Maybe some of the horses as well !!

I used the Melbourne Cup to take heaps of pictures :-) Loved it ! It was my first Melbourne Cup.
