View Full Version : Doggie
I had to share this photo :)
On Tuesday just gone, my beautiful 19mth old son had surgery to repair two hernias in his abdomen. He was so brave, and had the hospital staff wrapped around his chubby little fingers with his calm and placid nature ♥
One of the lovely nurses dressed his favourite toy doggie up in scrubs to accompany him into theatre, it was such a touching gesture in our otherwise yucky day.

Hi Marika Its so stressful when little ones have to have surgery not only for them but for the Parents also.
I do hope it all went well and your Son is now well on his way to recovery.
Yes such a thoughtful and touching gesture for the nurses to do that.. I love the little doggy its looks cute.
And Thanks for Sharing it :th3:
Thanks Mary Anne, yes, it was very stressfull for us. But he is doing well, he is not as mobile as he'd like to be, but he is learning to live with his restrictions, for eg, he knows he can't bend, or stretch the wrong way because that hurts, so he asks us to pick up anything that he's dropped or can't reach :)
The doggie is cute, we like it's smile!
:):) the eyes have it.:2cnew:
Get well soon young son.
That was a lovely thing for the nurses to do - most working with children try anything to help make things as easy as possible for those concerned - thanks for sharing. Sorry to hear about your son - although it is much easier to repair at his age. Wishing him a quick and complete recovery. :love4:
Thank you Mark and Allie, thank goodness children are resilient :)
Thanks for sharing the the beautiful toy doggie picture. Get well young son.
Thank you bouwy :)
He's pretty much recovered now, his last stitch fell out a couple of days ago, I'm so glad that it's all done with now, brave boy!
