Found my photo mojo...so I'm back!

Hi everyone

Well, I've had a bit of a rough 6 months or so. Won't go into details and bore you all!

I was only active for a short time so you probably won't remember me. I am a Sydneysider relocated to PNG. Hubby's contract ran out in September and we have been in Bangkok since then waiting for visas and work permits to be sorted out for our return to PNG.

My camer family has had a couple of new additions. In May I got a Canon G1X and I love it! So handy for throwing in my bag when I'm out and about but with enough creative control to keep me happy. And last week hubby bought me a Canon 650D 18-135 STM kit. I can't believe I have been without a Canon SLR since my trusty EOS 500 film camera! I LOVE this camera! Now begins the learning curve, figuring out all the tweaks to improve images.

Look forward to finding out what you are all up to and checking out some gorgeous pics.

And cogratulations on the new cameras, I need a decent one for in my handbag as lugging a heavy one around in mine is tough all the time.

Shelley, welcome back. Lovely thing about this forum space is that everyone is always so supportive and welcoming; whether you are a regular contributor or not.
Great to hear you live your G1x, my trusty G12 got me back into the swing of things too and I've ended up with a Nikon.
Would love to see some PNG shots or even Bangkok- find memories but hate the Tuk-tuks!!!

Hi Shelley. Yes you are remembered. I think a lot of we ladies like to have a smaller camera on hand in our handbags. It's always a toss up as to take the big camera or not and usually I, at least, make the wrong decision. Gotta love that light weight one to carry always. Happy snapping.
