New guy

Hi guys, I am in Perth WA, just starting out here, having a look about trying to get acquainted with the roll of things. A bit overwhelming at the moment, so bare with me. I am a novice as far as serious photography goes. but have always had a camera in my pocket and a good eye for subject material. In the process of researching where and what to buy to leap up into the more technical world of DSLR photography in the sub 1k market. No particular leanings as far as subject really, probably more towards nature and outdoors. But with the right gear my horizons will probably open up considerably. :)

Thanks guys, sorry for the time lag in joining in, life an work keep interrupting the important stuff. Finally settled on a Sony A57, no pics yet...time off this week and a Broome trip coming up soon so the card should start to fill soon :th3:.
