Light Room question.

Im looking at geting Light Room but would like to know if its a stand alone program or do need Photoshop to run it. Also wondering if i can run nik softwear in it or would i need Photoshop.

Lightroom is stand-alone and yes the Nik filters will work inside Lightroom
