Hi All,

Just want to introduce myself to this forum. I am currently a Canon user, using the old and trusty 5D Mk 1. My main interest is on portrait and travel, although nowadays I end up just documenting my kids :P

I just moved to Australia (NSW) 3 years back and I just found this forum today (duh!).

Looking forward to talking and learning from you all (hopefully) soon!

Thanks all for the warm welcome. Question on the "Skill Level". I've been taking photo for years now, but I am by no mean a full time professional photographer. Does it matter if I put my level as "beginner"?

Not at all. We will bump you to immediate due to your stated experience.
The skill level is only used to sometimes split competitions.
Beginner is usually < 12 months experience.
Advanced does not mean pro.

Looking forward to talking and learning from you all (hopefully) soon!

That's part of what makes this place work. Don't be worried about offering your opinion as well. It may help others. :th3:

With an introduction like "Hello World" you must work in the IT business - or at least been exposed to a little programming. Isn't that the first bit of code we ever wrote? :)

Welcome to the site and to Aus. Dive in and enjoy.

I was waiting for a "Are you sure you're not a bot?" joke.

Was wanting to ask his/her ICQ number, but that will tell people how old I am :)
