Hi all,

My wife bought me the Canon MT 24 -EX twin flash to use with my Canon 100mm f/2.8 L IS Macro. I took it out to have a play yesterday and found that the flash mount is 58mm whereas the lens is 67mm. A quick Google suggests that I should use a Canon 67C Macrolite Adapter. But this is a step down as it makes the lens end smaller. Is this right? The MT 24-EX mount is a piece of plastic not attached to anything else so could easily be replaced with one to suit a 67mm lens but I don’t see anything on the Canon website.

What are my alternatives as I really don’t want to have to try and return this nice flash.

regards,
Nogi

When it was first brought out, the MT24-ex only had two adapter rings available, a 52 and 58mm. I am not sure if they have brought out anymore since. But it looks like several other companies have come to the party with third party options: http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_trksid=p3907.m570.l1313&_nkw=mt24+ex+adapter+rings&_sacat=0

Yeah, they look like the Canon 67C Macrolite Adapter. This flash has been out for so long, I wonder why Canon haven't made a mount to suite the 100m f/2.8L :angry0:
