If you thought you might come along to the Long Reef sunrise meet as mentioned in this thread - http://www.ausphotography.net.au/forum/showthread.php?110287-Long-reef-sunrise-shoot-saturday-15-september&p=1067846#post1067846 forget it. There is a high tide at both sunrise and sunset.:(
However, we would love for you to join us at a new venue: the Boothtown (Greystanes) Aqueduct. Have a read of this article for more info: http://www.canalreserve.org/reserve/reserve.html and you can see some pics of it here: http://flickrhivemind.net/Tags/boothtownaqueduct
We plan to have a bit of a picnic as well, so bring along a chair/blanket, food/snacks, drink, your camera gear, tripod, shutter release cable, filters, etc.

So far the members that are attending are:
Danielle10, shanel7D, ktoopi, racoon x 2, peterb666, NikonNellie, ? judybee, ? xxdrakexx (not sure how you would get there Jim).
IF YOU WANT TO COME ALONG THEN PLEASE POST YOUR ATTENDANCE IN THIS THREAD (so we know how many to expect). THE MORE THE MERRIER. :D

I think I am about to lead you all up the garden path. I finally got on to my friend who lives at Greystanes and she has informed me that the place is surrounded by bush and there are no picnic areas but there is a reserve that has a sporting oval.
I would hate for you all to travel and bring along your picnic hampers and find that it's not a very good location.
Can someone else check it out on Google maps and let me know what you think -google "Macquarie Road, Greystanes" or should we just change the venue for something a little more interesting?
IF WE DO DECIDE TO GO AHEAD WITH THIS VENUE THEN PLEASE MEET IN TAYLOR STREET (which is closer to the walkway)
Hi all
Sorry I've been a bit quiet lately..... spilled wine on my 7 month old laptop last weekend and it died:( so access to computer is not easy at the moment. I have to pull out of tomorrow's meet:(:( my daughter is really sick with flu and hubby is sailing Saturday ( an important one or i would have convinced him to stay home!) I was planning to bring her but she's not well enough. Sorry guys will have to catch up next time.

Well I am up for the adventure.....even if it might be a fizzler. It would be great to catch up with everyone. We can always have a picnic in "Central Gardens" at Merrylands if it is a total disaster. :D

Make sure you wear closed in shoes - apparently there is a sign up on the walkway warning that there are snakes in the area. However, my friend has never seen one in all the years she has been walking there.

Yeah. I thought I might take big Bertha with me. If it's a total disaster, Central Gardens use to have quite a few birds and animals on display that we could take pics of. :D CHRISTMAS ...OMG. IT'S COMING AROUND TOO QUICKLY.
Here is a link to Google maps. You can see the Aquaduct is on the left hands thirds meeting point (or there abouts)
