Hello everyone.
I thought I would introduce myself and tell you a bit about me.
I live on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria and I have loved photography for many years although I was never able to afford a DSLR until last November when I bought my Canon 1100D. I chose that model because basically it was all I could afford and the two kit IS kit lenses that came with it sweetened the deal. My old pocket digital camera had died and I was going overseas for a Christmas holiday so I really needed to have something to capture all those wonderful pictures I was hoping to get. I now feel like I'm ready to move up to a semi-pro level camera and I've started saving my hard earned money for my Christmas pressie to myself. I haven't decided on a model yet, but it will be a Canon. I just love their gear.
Ultimately I'd love to make a living doing stock photography, I already contribute photos to several microstock agencies.
I joined this forum because I wanted to be part of a community of Australian photographers to share with and learn from and to maybe even meet up with some of you if you ever have meet-ups on the Mornington Peninsula.
I look forward to reading many posts and occasionally putting my five-cents' worth in
Valerie
