View Full Version : Lens Caps
Hi all
Sorry to ask a silly question as a beginner!
I am needing some lens caps as have lost a couple over the years but am not exactly sure what size to get for my Canon 1000D.
I have been looking at some on Ebay but the sizes are 52mm, 58mm, 67mm & 72mm, now I am confused although pretty sure I need the 58mm.
Thank you for any replies.
google the lens that you need a cap for, and look for "filter size" or similar, each lens can be different

For a front lens caps, look on the lenses.
For a rear lens cap they will be all the same.
For a camera "body cap", which you place over the camera body when there is no lens, look in the manual.

Thank you very much all for the replies, sorry again for the silly question.
I just looked on the Lens and it is 58mm, didn't even think to look at the lens before.
Shows how much of a beginner I am, haha!

Buy 6 of each ( saves postage ) and you will be set for the next few years. :D
