New member saying hi

Hi everyone!

I've been interested in photography for a while and I'd like to take it a bit further, though I'm very much a beginner at this stage! Hoping to learn a lot from hanging around here :)

My partner and I both have an interest in photography and between us we have a Nikon D50, D80 and D5100, however I'd like to upgrade in the next year or so depending on how I progress. I also have some crappy cheap studio lights, soft boxes, couple of backgrounds etc to play with, which I would also like to upgrade after some practice (and saving!).

I'm interested in portraits(children included) and pet/animal photography.

Looking forward to having a poke around and soaking in the info!
