I chose just external backup, no blogging. Which is the closest to mine

I backup to a laptop and then to an external HDD. I don't blog and rarely read blogs. I will post photos to forums while on the move.
My thoughts on blogs are that many are run and posted to by people who think their own lives are way more fascinating than they really are.

Another for laptop and external hard drive. (note there are other laptop other than mac books).
Laptop allows me to edit photos and the hard drive is a backup.
Will take a small android table next time mainly as a book reader and can also use for email.

I'm the same as well, laptop and external hard drive. I usually wait til I get home from my travels as I never take the laptop with me but I am considering taking it with me next time.
Never been much of a blog reader unless I can learn something from it. I think I would rather read a good book then a blog.

I agree with one slight remark. Blog posts are a very good marketing tool, they are indexed by search engines etc (according to some specialists), so its often not about boasting or something, its just business.

Amen to all of that! When I travel I do so to see the world, not to waste time blogging. A netbook and portable drive gives me two copies of all my photos - 4000 in 3 weeks on average. Then it takes me another 6 months to process them all, and get over the fact that 3980 are just travel snaps.

It might just be business, but if I am looking for a business, I want one that offers good products and good prices. I don't really want to read that the owner had a great time on their holidays recently, or that they had someone famous come in (that they cannot name), or that they just took a huge order and are suitably happy. I want good products and good prices, with good customer service. So they can either have a website that details their products and service, with prices, or they can talk about how great they are. I know which one I would be buying from!

I want to use their services, I don't want to read the next week about how someone (me) came in and bought xx gear from them. My business with them should be between me and them, not everyone else who reads their 'blog'. a 'blog' to me is the personal musing of the writer. If it is used to provide news about new products, reviews etc, I do not see that as a blog, rather a news and reviews page (which I don't mind reading).

Last time I went on an extended trip, I took a netbook. I did keep a blog, but only with the aim of keeping family informed of what we were up to. I posted a few photos SOOC with each blog (haven't got time to be processing while travelling, especially not on a small screen on a slow netbook).

I also used it to back up my photos every few days.

I pretty much always can be found with a laptop when travelling, whether work related, or when I'm off chasing or travelling. I'm not a fan of netbooks as I like to edit on the go, and also like the flexibility to store to both the laptop and a backup HDD while I am moving. I tend to blog when I am chasing these days, and sporadically for other photography. I find like Rick that most blogs aren't very interesting or are less interesting than the author thinks they are, and hence only do so about something that might be of interest.

None of those choices fit me. I use a Vosonic VP8870, take the MacPowerBook, and sometimes blog. The poll won't let me make 2 choices so I didn't do it.
