Hi Mike, welcome to AP.
What you want to photograph is the most relevant question you can apply to any advice on the D800E.
I really feel that for 99% of photographers the D800 is going to deliver more than they can in most applications.

So tell us what it is that makes you think that the D800E is the camera for you.

Hi,
Thanks for the quick replies. I have more or less made up my mind to go with the d800e. I shoot mostly landscapes ( http:\\ww.mikedunn.com.au ) . The d800e will be an upgrade for my much loved d300.

It has been great just reading the awesome feedback from the ausphoto users.

Now i just need to find one at a good price.

Cheers
Mike

Welcome Mike. Hope we get to see your photos up for critique soon. The best place to ask about the D800 would be the Nikon sub-section of our gear talk forum.

Having said that, what do you see as the perceived benefits to your photography from the D800e, over the D800? You can get all the opinions in the world, but as you will be the user, it is you that needs to know why the D800e is the better choice for your photography.
