I'm Back

Hi everyone, I'm back have been missing for awhile. I have a question for you guys hoping someone can help me. Is it camera or operator at fault here.
I seem to have very soft photos and can't understand why.. Any guidance would be great I am using a Canon 7D camera with 24mm -105mm Lens with a tripod and release cable
