New User - Photo Beginner

Hi, I'm a relative newby to this photography game.

My photo toolkit is relatively low key:

Canon 600D
Cable Remote
18-55 Kit lens
Canon 50mm 1.8 Prime
Tamron 18-270 F/3.5-6.3 DiII
IR and Polarising filters
Tripod

I have completed an "Introduction to SLR" course (8 weeks) and that really highlighted things like composition, colour, shape and light. Here's one of my images produced for the lighting session:

I never seem to have enough time to go out shooting, by joining this site I hope to get inspiration - and help to improve my output.
